at 4x4 inches, these little arty books are pocket size. each is handmade, and each is hand painted, front and back cover. the edges are decoratively treated, and each little journal contains
16 white cover stock pages, suitable for drawing, painting, writing, or collaging.
hand sewn. they are also individually embellished with ribbon, yarn, or a combination of both. the embellishment also serves as a tie closure. the covers are sealed, both inside and out, either with a brushed on or sprayed sealer. the inside covers are collaged with recycled text bits.

I love these...I have been making a lot of 4 by 4 art lately for my prompts from inspire me thursday...This would be a great way to put them together...And talk about cool christmas gifts....WOW!! I want to come play in your studio!!
it's really funny, but i never remember to go to inspire thursday to look at the prompt. actually i think i have it as an rss feed, but it never comes through on time.
i was sly and i showed them to one of my nieces to see her reaction (she's 20ish), and she really loved them. she's hard to buy for, so i think if she likes them, i can safely give them to others.
plus they're easy to make, just can be time consuming, depending on the details you do. making 12 at a time is best. or some number of multiples, so you don't have to get out all the materials for 2. boy would that be exhausting!

Nicci your books are rocking, i haven't made a book in a long time. i made a mini star book once, i made it backwards, must be this left handed ness coming through.
Also you can stalk me hahaha you are welcome to come to Canada anytime, free place to stay. you would just have to share the bed with sasha (the dog ) and Lucy (the cat). it would be fun.
